Dear Voters of District 122,
I’m Audrey Hopkins-Williams, and I believe I’m the best candidate to represent our district because of my deep-rooted commitment to both business and community service. Since 2003, I’ve owned and operated "One Moment in Time Events," gaining firsthand experience in entrepreneurship, creating jobs, and serving our community. My leadership as a Maven for the South Carolina Arts Commission’s “Art of Community: Rural SC” program further allowed me to drive cultural and community development, a role I held proudly for six years.
As a Furman University Diversity Leadership Initiative graduate and a Leo Twiggs Scholar, I’m passionate about leadership, equity, and building stronger communities. My service on several boards, including Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton Comprehensive Health, Second Helpings, and the Hampton County Airport Commission, demonstrates my commitment to improving healthcare, addressing food insecurity, and enhancing local infrastructure.
With over 20 years of experience working for Gordon Logging Company, one of South Carolina’s most successful minority-owned businesses, I understand the challenges our local businesses face, especially minority-owned enterprises.
I’m ready to bring this wealth of experience to the South Carolina House of Representatives, where I’ll work tirelessly to advocate for our district. Let’s build a brighter future together—vote for me, Audrey Hopkins-Williams, on November 5, 2024!
In Unity and Love,
Audrey Hopkins-Williams
